- With specially shaped glass edge for improved pouring out (so that an additional plastic pouring ring is not required).
- With easy-to-read scale and large labelling field for easy marking, in fired-on, highly durable white ceramic. Service temperature limit of the PU1 plastic coating: –30 °C to +135 °C (instructions for autoclaving, see page 217). The coating provides scratch, leak and splinter protection and is ideally suited to both the transport and storage of hazardous media or valuable samples. UV protection up to approx. 380 nm wavelength. High transparency. Suitable for microwaving.
- Typical applications: storage, transport and safe handling of hazardous substances.
- Due to their high chemical and thermal-shock resistance, DURAN® laboratory bottles are indispensable for routine work in the laboratory. As neutral glass with high hydrolytic resistance, DURAN® belongs to glass type 1 in accordance with EP, JP and USP.
- DURAN® laboratory bottles are, with the exception of the pressure-resistant DURAN® pressure plus bottles, not designed for use under pressure or vacuum conditions.
- When sterilising / autoclaving, the screw cap should only be loosely applied since with a closed bottle pressure equalisation does not take place. An ideal complement is the membrane cap.
- The printed scale on many items of DURAN® laboratory glassware is indicative with an accuracy of ±10 %. Therefore the items are not suitable for use as volumetric glassware.
- DURAN® laboratory glass and reagent bottles are provided with a retrace code. Using the eight-character code and the corresponding article number, a batch and quality certificate for the DURAN® laboratory glass bottles can be obtained.
