- Bottles of 100 – 2 000 ml capacity have a shoulder reinforcement ring corresponding to the bottles nominal capacity.
- With easy-to-read scale and large labelling field for easy marking, in fired-on, highly durable white ceramic. UV protection up to approx. 500 nm wavelength. Unchanged DURAN® properties within the bottle, as colouration is only to the outer surface. Very uniform, durable and chemically resistant amber colour due to use of innovative technology.
- Typical applications: storage and transport of light-sensitive substances.
- Due to their high chemical and thermal-shock resistance, DURAN® laboratory bottles are indispensable for routine work in the laboratory. As neutral glass with high hydrolytic resistance, DURAN® belongs to glass type 1 in accordance with EP, JP and USP.
- DURAN® laboratory bottles are, with the exception of the pressure-resistant DURAN® pressure plus bottles, not designed for use under pressure or vacuum conditions.
- When sterilising / autoclaving, the screw cap should only be loosely applied since with a closed bottle pressure equalisation does not take place. An ideal complement is the membrane cap.
- The printed scale on many items of DURAN® laboratory glassware is indicative with an accuracy of ±10 %. Therefore the items are not suitable for use as volumetric glassware.
- DURAN® laboratory glass and reagent bottles are provided with a retrace code. Using the eight-character code and the corresponding article number, a batch and quality certificate for the DURAN® laboratory glass bottles can be obtained.
